If you would like to show off with your own 3-legged, talented doggie, you are in luck! You don't need to go to New York, you just need to come to The Animal Shelter right here in Anniston and meet Maizy.
Maizy came to the shelter with her hind leg already amputated and well healed. She has absolutely no trouble getting around on it - in fact, fetch is her favorite game! She is an excellent retriever who even brings the ball back.Maizy can be leery of men, but can learn who the "good guys" are when they prove trustworthy. She was quite the talker upon arrival (mostly, it seems, saying "take me out to play!"), but is beginning to mellow with maturity. She definitely enjoys moments of chilling out and sharing affection these days.
