Obie is a young pointer mix with a medium energy level. He gets along well with his kennelmate Lucy, and other dogs when outside in the exercise area. Obie loves attention and affection, and generally responds when being called. He can be shy and reserved with strangers, but comes around and becomes friendly and “tail wagging” happy pretty quickly. He adores kids! But needs to learn not to jump on them. He would probably be easily trained, as he appears to have a good attention span and is eager to please people.Obie is an often-overlooked gem in our shelter, that would make a wonderful pet for anyone or any family looking for a dog with a moderate amount of energy, a lot of smarts, and a whole lot of love and devotion to give.
